The Club G Basketball team has been playing in the Friday night competition for the last four weeks. The Year 9/10 team is made up of a great bunch of girls who love the game and simply want to learn. With the help of their coach, JJ, they have grown in leaps and bounds. The girls took on the top of ladder school, Centenary Heights and did this with minimal players due to a social being on at the same time.
Although the girls had a tough loss they played their hearts out and scored 14 points. The skill level from Lynette Lelai and Lashontae Mosby was incredible, their toughness to carry on and hold the team together was a testament to themselves. Emmerson Leather did a wonderful job bringing the ball down the court showcasing her intelligent dribbling skills. We are very proud of all the girls who played in this game. They all stepped up in true Glennie spirit and never gave up.
If you are looking for a sport to cheer on, the basketball girls play at Wilsonton tonight (Friday, 6 March) and they would love your support.
