Bonjour à tous

On Monday, 27 May, a lot of fun was had as the Middle Years French poem and song Festival was organised. Students studying ‘normal’ French, learning in the French Immersion Program and from Toowoomba Grammar School participated.

Reciting a poem or singing a song in front of an audience is not an easy thing but doing it in a different language is even more challenging. The following students  should be commended for their performance:

Annie Eather (Y7), Isabelle Prewett (Y7 FI), Mashal Imam (Y7 FI), Amelia Tranter (Y8), Holly Beaton (Y8 FI), Sophie Bridger (Y8 FI), Mia Brown (Y8 FI), Sally Byrne (Y8 FI), Kristen Davies (Y8 FI), Sophie Fleming (Y8 FI), Rebecca George (Y8 FI), Jessica Irwin (Y8 FI), Lilias O’Connor (Y8 FI), Gabrielle Prosser (Y8 FI), Emma Anderson (Y9 FI), Chelsea Armstrong (Y9 FI), Tanvi Chand (Y9 FI), Bethany Crowe (Y9 FI), Zoe Dann (Y9 FI), Antonina Foley (Y9 FI), Prisha Gupte (Y9 FI), Mikayla Karl-Russell (Y9 FI), Linda Mai (Y9 FI), Lily McEvoy (Y9 FI), Arianne Oliveros (Y9 FI), Sarah Park (Y9 FI), Felicity Pringle (Y9 FI), Isabella Shelton (Y9 FI) AND last but least, the only boy participating, Harry Gallagher (Y9).

BRAVO À TOUS!

Personally, I thought that the standard of the various acts was fantastic and I definitely enjoyed listening to each one of them. It was also lovely to see Wendy Evans who used to teach at Glennie and who came to accompany Harry on the piano.

A très bientôt.
