Bill Turner Football

Friday afternoon saw the semi-final of the U15 Bill Turner Trophy Competition. Glennie won the home field advantage by winning their pool at the regional carnival recently.

The girls took on St Joseph’s College in almost perfect football conditions.

The experience of our 4 NPL girls was evident as they steered the team to an emphatic 8-0 victory.

Their dedication to the rigorous demands and commitment to the NPL Thunder model certainly is impressive! Layla Proctor, Macey Eiser, Keely Thorn and Zara Haynes should be congratulated, along with the rest of the team who stepped up to a whole new level to contribute to the win. The inexperience of our young team was not a factor as each girl played their hearts out!

Caitlin McCarthy and Olivia Smith are proof that practice does make perfect, with their almost flawless performances once again!

Congratulations girls and good luck in the Darling Downs regional finals in Stanthorpe.
