SRC Free Dress Day

The SRC girls will be conducting a fundraiser on 5 September in aid of ‘Kids with Cancer’. All children are asked to wear something yellow and bring a $3 donation.
There will be raffles and all children will be eligible to go in the draw for a prize.

Junior Years Founder’s Day Service

Junior Years parents are welcome to join us for our Founder’s Day Service on Thursday 10 August at 2.15pm in the Assembly Hall. This is a Formal Uniform Day and all girls from Years P to 6 will attend this service.
Ready, Set, Prep Evening

On Tuesday 25 July at 6.30pm in the Prep classroom, we will be holding an information session for parents of Kindergarten aged children to explain the transition into Prep.

Children’s health

As we enter the worst term for sickness, colds and flu. We ask parents to be vigilant with their children’s health. Please do not send them to school if they are unwell, as this only spreads the germs across the school quickly.
We can send work home if required, and this is preferable to the girls struggling here at school. Thank you for your support with this.

Thank you to the many parents who attended the interviews last term to discuss their daughter’s reports. I hope that you found them useful. Please do not hesitate to make time to meet with your daughter’s teachers, including their specialist teachers, during the term, if you ever have any concerns. It is always important to sort issues out quickly.
IPSHA Leaders Dinner

A number of our Year 6 Leaders will attend the annual IPSHA Leaders dinner on Wednesday 19 July this year being hosted by TACAPS. The girls will join leaders from seven other independent schools in Toowoomba.
Parent Teacher Interviews

Thank you to the parents who have booked Parent Teacher Interviews. If you didn’t manage to secure a time with your daughter’s teacher, due to them being fully booked during the afternoon and would still like to have a meeting, please contact them via email and they will try to meet with you in the first week of next term.
Blazers

Parents are reminded that all girls in Years 4 to 6 are required to have a Glennie Blazer. If your daughter does not have one, would you please try to arrange this during the holidays. Girls in Years 1 to 3 may wear a blazer at any time, but they are not compulsory at these levels.
Welcome Back Cuppa

We will hold our Welcome Back Cuppa for all Junior Years parents after drop-off on Tuesday 11 July from 8:00am near the Junior Years Tuckshop. Please join us, - even if it is for only a few minutes before you head off to work.
Years 5 and 6 Social

The Years 5 and 6 social will be held at Toowoomba Grammar Junior School tonight at 6:00 pm. Girls must make sure that they check in on arrival and out before they leave. Entrance to Grammar Junior is on Herries Street.

Online bookings for Parent Teacher interviews for Junior Years Parents are now available via this link.
Interviews will be held on Friday 16 June from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
The link to the booking system can also be accessed on the Portal, look for the PTO button.
Please note, there are no Middle and Senior Parent Teacher Interviews for the end of Semester 1. They will occur at the beginning of Term 4 instead.
G Minor Choir rehearsal cancelled 7 June

The G Minor Choir rehearsal scheduled for Wednesday, 7 June has been cancelled due to String Out 2017, which involves all music teachers.
Choir rehearsal will resume as normal on Wednesday, 14 June at 8.00am in the Assembly Hall.
Formal Uniform Day
2 June 2017
Monday 12 June is a Formal Uniform Day for Junior Years.
Girls should wear white shirts, grey socks (navy tights for warmth if needed). Girls in Years 4 to 6 must wear blazers. Girls in Years 1 to 3 can wear blazers if they own them, otherwise, they can wear jumpers.

Year 6 parents are reminded that periodic payments may be made at Glennie Main Reception. Please make sure that any direct deposits made using the online payment system are clearly referenced to the Canberra Trip with your daughter’s name.
Kindergarten Art Exhibition

On Friday 2 June the Kindergarten Parent Representatives will be hosting the Annual Kindergarten Art Exhibition.
The evening will showcase individual and group artworks completed by the Kindergarten children during their Term 1 art lessons.

However, we ask that if you are accessing the drop-off zone, please do not wait there if your daughter is not ready. It causes major issues with vehicles lined up onto Anzac Avenue.
