A Message from the Head of Senior Years

26 February 2016

At Glennie, camps and excursions play a pivotal role in enhancing student learning and facilitating personal growth and development. Girls are able to extend and enrich their understanding of the world outside the classroom, as well as develop their teamwork and leadership skills, independence, resilience and resourcefulness. How wonderful it was to note that by Wednesday of this week, almost five year levels (comprising 344 girls and staff), were engaged in off-site curriculum-related activities. For those who remained behind at Glennie, it was a very quiet week! For those who took part, however, it was a week of challenges, new experiences, self-discovery and appreciation of the strengths and qualities of others. I look forward to hearing about students’ adventures and discoveries when they return. Thank you, teachers, for facilitating such a wonderful learning opportunity!
