From the Sports Office

11 August 2017

As the weather starts to warm up we turn our eyes to the Summer Sport season. The first Rugby 7s trial was held this week, with over 80 students braving the cold evening. For many, it was their first taste of this rapidly growing sport. Students had a great time learning safe tackling techniques, and later, engaging in their first full contact games. Teams will be announced in due course, with training to commence in coming weeks.

Other Term 4 options will include Futsal, Water polo and Touch Football. Students will be given details of how to sign up for these sports in the next few weeks. One important change to note is that Glennie won't be providing a 'social' option for Touch Football this year. We will be putting a small number of teams into the Wednesday and Friday night competitions, however, unlike previous years, these teams will be required to train and will have a coach attached to them. Please email Mr Griffiths if you require further information.
