SHEP Darling Downs

25 May 2017

Last weekend, over 100 music students from across the Darling Downs Region converged upon Glennie to work with staff from The Queensland Conservatorium of Music. The State Honours Ensemble Programme, or SHEP, as it is known, is designed to offer students the opportunity to make music with other like-minded teenagers whilst gaining the experience of learning from industry professionals.

It was a very successful weekend filled with rehearsals and the opportunity to make new friends with students from across the region. The final concert featured the Choir, String Ensemble and Concert Band and was of a very high standard. Special thanks to Mr Finlay and to Mrs Hawthorne for their efforts. Well done to all of the students involved.
