DriveSafe

3 June 2016

The Toowoomba Police Citizens Youth Club (PCYC) is running a program called DriveSafe. The program uses a driving simulator to aid in the teaching of learner drivers.

The driving simulator has tremendous potential to improve the driving skills of those new to driving such as those with 'L' or 'P' licences. It provides a safe environment in which to take a learner driver through the motions of everything from familiarisation of the vehicle's controls to interpretation of the road rules to interaction with other drivers.

The Drivesafe program is now running at the PCYC on Tuesdays from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. It is free of charge and managed one on one by staff members at the PCYC and/or Volunteers in Policing (VIPs). Lessons can be booked in advance by ringing the PCYC.
