Each year The Glennie School runs a valuable life and career focused programme called Be Real, Get SET for all Year 10 girls. The program, run over a week, offers students the chance to learn skills needed in the real world of work. Students take on a career role, develop community service skills, learn how to budget and make important decisions simulated for real life.
A very important part of this week is the opportunity for girls to be interviewed for a potential job by an experienced employer with current industry knowledge.
We have a range of different occupational roles for the week including paramedics, baristas, engineers, farm hands, and many more. If you, or any of your work colleagues, would be interested in volunteering your time and expertise as part of our Interview Team, we are sure this would broaden the experience for the girls. Interviews will be held on Wednesday 15 June from 9:30am until 1:00pm.
The “Be Real, Get Set” program is an important part of The Glennie School calendar. If you would like to be involved, please contact our Careers Advisor, Sharon Currie, on 07 4588 8852, or via email, email@example.com.
