Head Lights

wacThe Year of Resilience seems to have switched on a spotlight of commonsense. Yesterday I apologised to Year 11s who had to sit on a hard floor for half an hour. That’s all right: we’re resilient, one offered. When Year 8 girls were panicking about the prospect of being vaccinated, I reminded them about resilience. I later heard that they had shown little fuss . . .  It’s amazing how behaviour can be shaped by an idea. Recently I have had conversations with our student leaders about the significance of their actions and example. They are surprised to hear how influential they are!
