Head Lights

wasLast night, I had the privilege of attending an event which I look forward to annually. The Mayoral Medal presentations were held at Christian Outreach College and His Worship the Mayor, Councillor Paul Antonio presented 54 regional students, from both Primary and High schools, with this Medal.

mm2-2014An initiative of former Mayor, Dianne Thorley, this award is given to students from local schools who despite hardship, have striven to overcome enormous hurdles in their short lives and for many, they continue to do so. It is truly a humbling experience for all attendees to watch these brave children.

Congratulations to Zöe Hulme–Peake (Year 8) and Isabella Lilford (Year 5) who were Glennie’s recipients. We are proud of you both!
