Head Lights

wac-2It can be difficult for parents to know when a child’s emotional response to school life needs intervention. I suggest that, to begin with, support need not involve much other than listening impartially, and asking the question what would you like to do about this? Often, children need principally to offload, be helped to examine options calmly and then reassured that the situation can be improved. The time for intervention is when things do not get better over time.

I wish you all the best for a refreshing break these holidays, with good health and safety for all our travellers.

Mrs Wendy Ashley-Cooper
