Head Lights

wasIn 1992, the Glennie Preparatory School reopened after a period of twenty years during which Glennie was a secondary only school. On that first day, 26 girls walked through the gates to start their Preparatory school experience in Years 6 and 7. They say “from little things, big things grow” and that is certainly the case, with 279 girls now in the Junior Years and another 50 boys and girls in the re-established Kindergarten.

This reopening of Glennie Prep was the vision of former Headmaster, Mr Mike Norris, who led Glennie from 1988 to 1996. He will visit the school on Wednesday, 19 June, and have the new building in the Junior Years named in his honour, in recognition of his service and dedication to The Glennie School.
