Make a Poppy for Glennie

poppies-for-webBe creative, together we can make something special.

In 2018, we celebrate 100 years since the foundation of the Glennie Old Girls’ Association and also the end of World War I.

All members of the Glennie community are invited to join together to make a knitted, crocheted or fabric poppy to help us create a sea of poppies at Glennie in time for Remembrance Day in 2018.

Current students, Old Girls, parents, grandparents and staff are encouraged to work together to create something really special. You don’t have to live in Toowoomba to be part of this Glennie community project.

Completed poppies should be no more than 10cm in diameter and be made from materials that won’t mind getting wet. There are lots of poppy patterns on the internet, or create your own pattern to share. Make one, or make many, every poppy will make a difference.

You can drop your completed poppies or donations of materials at Glennie reception or post them to The Glennie School 246A Herries Street, Toowoomba.

Be involved, even if you’re not crafty!
