Glennie parents are invited to participate in the ‘Parent Webinar 10 - Social and Legal Responsibilities Online – Not so Virtual’ hosted by Digital Collaboration for Independent Schools.

Presenter, Brett Lee will discuss a number of issues concerning the online behaviour of children but will have an emphasis on the topic of "sexting"
· What is sexting?
· What are the legal considerations?
· What are the social considerations?
· Why do kids do it?
· How to reduce risks of kids getting involved.

About the presenter:
INESS creator, Brett Lee, worked as a Queensland Police Officer for 22 years,16 of those as a Detective predominantly in the field of Child Exploitation. In his last five years of service, he was a specialist in the field of undercover internet child exploitation investigations.Brett has been personally involved in the online investigation, arrest and prosecution of numerous offenders, whose medium for preying on children is the internet. Further to Brett’s experience, he has completed the FBI Advanced Internet Investigations Course and has worked with the FBI Innocent Images Unit, Maryland USA, the Department of Homeland Security Cyber Crimes Centre, Virginia USA and the San Jose Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, California USA.

The Glennie School in Toowoomba enters an exciting era in 2017 as it welcomes the 12th Principal Mrs Kim Cohen. In February, Mrs Cohen will be undertaking a series of regional tours. The first of these shall be to Millmerran, Inglewood, Goondiwindi, Meandarra, Dalby, Taroom, Roma and Chinchilla to meet past and current boarding parents, old girls and families exploring their boarding options.
