Students at The Glennie School
Founded
in 1908, The Glennie School is an Anglican day and boarding
School for girls. It is located in the regional Centre
of Toowoomba,
the Garden City of the Darling Downs. Our rural location
provides a fresh clean and safe environment for students
away from the pressures and influences of city life. Toowoomba
is only 90 minutes by road from Brisbane, Queensland,
AUSTRALIA.
The
Glennie School provides an education program, which aims
to absorb international students into Australia’s
lifestyle and culture. To make this an experience to remember
the Glennie School provides places for 25 International

English
Language Prerequisites
International students will only be offered a place at
the School if they provide evidence of English proficiency
to the following levels:
Years
5-10
Years 11-12
All levels |
IELTS
4.5 / ASLPR Band 3
IELTS 5.5 / ASLPR Band 4
TOEFL 530 |
The
Glennie School does have specialist language teachers
who could provide support for English proficiency.
However,
for English Language Intensive
Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) or an English as
a Second Language (ESL) Course students should enrol
in a Secondary School English Preparation program.

An
Application for Enrolment at The Glennie School is to be accompanied by copies of:
- Student’s
birth certificate

Copies of the last two years of school reports

Immunisation history
-
Evidence of English Language Proficiency
- Immigration
status
- A
photocopy of the student's current passport
International
students must have achieved a reasonable standard of
academic
results that is consistent across all areas of study.
If the information supplied is sufficient to satisfy
the
Head of School or her authorised representative that
the applicant has a reasonable chance of success at
the School,
then subject to an interview, an enrolment offer will
be made.
Fees
The
School offers combined boarding, tuition and sporting
facilities to girls (full fee paying international boarders)
requiring accommodation from Year 5 to Year 12. By
arrangement
with the School, boarding facilities and a program of
activities can be provided to International students
not
returning to their home country during the April, July
and September School Holiday periods. |
